Hello!
I am Ceridwen (They/She), a professional consultant and passionate gamer! I've been running and playing games for more than half my life. As I've grown up, my passion for advocacy, social justice, and access to information have blended with my love for games, gaming, and gamers.
For the past few years, I've been collecting my thoughts and knowledge, leveraging my skills and talents to support other people in becoming better world builders, gamers, and hopefully more fulfilled people.
Whether we've played together at a convention, chatted online, or you stumbled on this site by accident, I'm glad you're here and excited to share what I know and what I believe with you!

The Basics
I am a Christian, and a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Born in Texas, I spent most of my life in Maryland. I've been lucky enough to travel quite a bit, visiting the United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada, and many countries in South America via my cruise through the Panama Canal.

Games
I started playing D&D when I was around 13. I cut my teeth on 1st and 2nd edition before getting into my first 3rd edition game, just before 3.5 came out. After college, I started running Unisystem, which is probably my favorite system, and started building my campaign setting, Legends of Cascadon. After that, I played and ran Pathfinder for many years, dabbling in other indie systems.
Conventions
In 2014 I attended Gen Con for the first time, running a single game: Adventures in Metaland. Since then, I've been a regular attendee! I started running the GM Workshop: Build a World because I saw a gap in how game masters are supported. Seminars are great and all, but most game masters I know learn best from hands on activities.
Meanwhile, in 2019-2020 I volunteered with a local game convention as the event organizer. I recruited talent, panelists, and served as a moderator.
Everything changed in 2020 when conventions were cancelled, and I changed careers. Eventually becoming a functional consultant, I developed presentation, organization, and project management skills, which I've translated back into my love of games and gaming!
In 2024 I returned to Gen Con, resuming offering the GM Workshop: Build a World in addition to the triumphant return of Adventures in Metaland.

Career and Education
Across my life, I've had many careers, ranging from Billing Coordinator to Special Education Instructional Assistant, Library Clerk, Bus Driver, and Operations Specialist.
Currently I work in a consulting and project management role. I have extensive experience in technical documentation, training, and managing teams.
I graduated from high school and rolled into college, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English. To avoid making student loan payments, I went back to school and earned a certificate and Associates degree in Paralegal Studies. I also hold several Microsoft certifications, and am in the process of applying to graduate school to work towards a Masters Degree as a part of my Candidacy process for becoming a rostered leader in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
